Borromini was the most radical explorer of Baroque architecture, challenging classical stability and symmetry with complex geometries and dynamic spatial sequences. Works like San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane pushed architecture to the limits of sculpture and mathematics, deeply influencing later architects like Gaudí and Gehry.
