Gerrit Rietveld

Rietveld was the architectural representative of the Dutch De Stijl movement. His Schröder House translated Mondrian's paintings into three-dimensional space using sliding partitions. From the Red Blue Chair to the Schröder House, he broke boundaries between painting, furniture, and architecture.
